My wife and I hit up the Schott store this past weekend. Lots of cool jackets to try on...many from the Perfecto Brand Line. Of course the new Rin Tanaka book is there to check out as well. Without a doubt worth the visit. I'm pretty sure its closed today and tomorrow for the holiday so be patient!!! Both Jason and Oren were there to answer our various questions. Without a doubt I will be going back soon during the holiday break. Located in the shopping district of Mercer and Spring...look for the black SCHOTT sign.
When I visited before Xmas the two Schott Brothers (Jason and Oren) were there to answer questions and offer their incredible knowledge of Schott. That alone is worth the trip...........................................as far as what to expect in terms of stock I imagine that it changes from day to day. Since they are selling what is there when it is gone it is gone. I needed an XL in a Perfecto Brand jacket and it wasn't there...they had the L and 2XL. The good news is that they offered to get the XL for me if I came back the next day....after they checked stock, right there on the spot, I was told that XL is out of stock. If I had to guess, I'd say there were about 75 jackets there when I went plus a lot of new stuff they have just made...yes, stuff that is not yet up on their website. So, if you live in NYC and want to check out and try on some cool jackets..... GO! A WORD OF CAUTION....Be careful about bringing your significannt other because Tiffanys is within sight of this store and you could get really screwed....IT ALMOST HAPPENED TO ME.
