Info on a vintage Schott

Hi!  So I found a used Schott motorcycle jacket at a yard sale and just wanted a bit more information on the model and year, as well assizing.  From what I've seen online I'm thinking it's probably fromt he late 80's and maybe a Perfecto 118? If it is a 118, I'm not sure how to tell the difference between the 118 and 118L just by sight.  It's a size 50; is that considered an 2XL?  I'm debating between giving it as a gift or selling it, so I just want to get the size right since they don't live nearby.  Thanks in advance!

The jacket is the Naked Cowhide style 118 and it is not a long size. If the jacket was a Long it would have the style 118L on the pocket ticket and a small label with the letter "L" on it sewn need the neck size label. Based on the lot number on the pocket ticket this jacket was produced between 1986 - the mid 1990's. The size 2XL is a graded size which is between a 48/50. Since this is an older jacket it is a smaller cut and probably closer to a size 48. Gail

If youre selling it post the measurements------Sizes can vary Greatly and your size 50 might be best suited for a guy that needs a 46 or 48.
