Hello Gail. I have 2 perfectos I need help identifying. My mother used to work at your Perth Amboy location years ago so I know I got them around 1989 and 2002. I got the older one from Mike Schott himself for $25 during a December sale. God bless his heart, he knew I really wanted it and gave me a great deal on the jackets I picked. Anyway, I am selling them on Craigslist and I received some questions about them and I have no idea what model they are. I appreciate your help.
Jackets from our annual factory sales are not always the easiest to provide information on. First I suggest you look in the pockets for a white ticket hopefully it will have the style number on the ticket. Your first set of photos appear to be the classic motorcycle jacket, the style number is based on the leather which we have made in several types of leather. Your second photo, with the red lining I think may be a proto jacket. At our sale we have protos, samples seconds and our regular stock so it is hard to detremine exactly what these jackets may be. Gail
Thanks for the quick response. The tag for the cafe style jacket is missing the size and some numbers on the white tag, but it starts with 1620602? Lot is 34 bundle 008 and number below is 641xx. How much do you think they may be worth? I just had a baby and I dont see me losing 40 pounds anytime soon so I would like to get rid of them.
The style number is the 641XX and it is a steerhide leather. The lot number is actually the 1620 and the 34 ois the size. This style is a special production style we have made for our Japanese distributor in Japan, we have not offered this style in the US. On the bar code number the fifth digit represents the year, so this jacket was made in 1996. Gail
Since these are smaller sized Men's jackets I would list them on E-Bay...expect to ship international...probably Taiwan or China....maybe the UK. They should each go for at least $200 if there are no issues with them.
Awesome. Thanks for the response. They are both in near perfect condition since I have not been able to fit into them for over 10 years. I have them priced at 250 but will definitely take 200 or a little less.
