Hi, i recently bought this jacket and i would like to know more. I never seen one like this before. The label is "Schott N.Y.C Sportswear" with a american flag label on the side. There are not labels inside the pockets. It has a removal internal lining and fur collar.
The shop where i have bought this jacket said it is from 70's but i don't know if i can trust him.
Thank you Gail, it is weird indeed. This jacket has also other black inserts. So if you are amazed too this means that i own a special jacket! By the way, this is my second flight jacket, the other one has an "ideal" zipper, brown colour and it's less shiny than this one, i' ve checked the pockets for a label and i have found one where is written something like LOT 96 DL, can you please ID it? Ok i'm finished with the questions, thank you very much!
I do not have much info I can give you on the second jacket either. If the leather is not shiny then it is probably a naked cowhide which would be the style 184SM. The Ideal zipper suggests it was produced in the 1980's. Gail
